The Worldwatch Institute recently unearthed some of the environmental hazards of drinking bottled water … the pricey thirst-quencher adds 1.5 million tons of plastic each year to already overflowing landfills, and transporting the fancy H2O – by one estimate — emits a WHOPPING one billion pounds of CO2 into the atmosphere each year! I guess drinking Polond Spring isn’t so “green” after all … in today’s episode of KBTV!

Solar Tower technology has the potential to offer competitive renewable energy with equal reliability to fossil fuel generators.

A single 200MW Solar Tower power station will provide enough electricity to power around 400,000 households. The energy output will represent an annual saving of more than 1,960,000 tonnes of greenhouse CO2 gases from entering the environment when compared to brown coal emissions in Victoria. The greenhouse savings equate to the removal of approximately 500,000 cars from the road. The Australian Solar Tower project consists of six distinct phases, the first two of which (project optimization and pre-feasibility commercialization) have already been completed. The third phase (final feasibility), paving the way for the implementation of the next three phases (final design, construction, and commercial operation).

We wanted to point out the apparent shortage of information being put out by President Obama’s Staff regarding Environmental Policies. It seems that there’s not very much news or coverage of any type about it. We acknowledge that there are plenty of problems the the President and the U.S. is facing. However, Mother Earth isn’t waiting for an economy to recover or a war to be over and she can’t heal herself.
